In honor of Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day on April 29, 2007, RayKo Photo Center will be hosting an exhibition of pinhole photography in our side gallery. This is an open call for photographic from work taken with a lensless pinhole camera. Artists selected for exhibition will be encouraged to participate in the artist’s reception and Worldwide Pinhole Day on April 29th between 12-5pm. RayKo will be offering free image uploads onto WWPD website, supplies for making pinhole images, and displays of pinhole cameras. “Best In Show” will receive a traditional or digital mural print of their choice, up to 40x50 inches.
You may submit work on a CDRom or drop off “ready to hang” images on the dates listed below. All work selected will be for sale unless otherwise noted. RayKo will retain 30% commission on all work sold. Due to limited space, selected work may be hung salon style.
Submission Guidelines:
• Images made with lensless camera only.
• Limit 5 images per person.
-Submit Jpegs on CDRom.
(Save files with artist’s last name and title of image).
• Submission Times for CDRom Entries: April 1st thru April 14th.
OR -Submit images ready to hang.
(Label each piece with your name, phone/email, title of work, and price)
• Submission Times for Drop-off of Artwork:
April 12th thru April 14th between 12-6pm.
• Maximum size: 20x24 (including frame).
• Completed submission form.
• SASE or adequate postage for return of artwork.
• Notification of Accepted Work: April 17th, 2007.
• Drop off of work accepted by CDRom: April 18th thru April 23rd
12-8pm.
• Exhibition Dates: April 27 thru May 20, 2007.
• Pick-up of Unaccepted Work: April 18th thru April 25th,
12-8pm.
• Pick-up of Selected Work from exhibition:
May 23rd thru May 30th.
Submissions not meeting these guidelines will not be reviewed. Images selected from CDRom’s must be delivered to RayKo between April 18th thru 23rd. Late submissions or substitute images will not be hung.
